It is suitable for short distances, delivering small blocks of material with a relatively high specific gravity at a controlled rate. The feed size typically ranges from 35 to 100 millimeters or less. It is not suitable for sticky materials. The pendulum feeder is applicable in mineral processing, coal, chemical, and other industries, for transferring granular materials from storage bins through hoppers to various types of receiving devices. It is not suitable for conveying dry powdery materials or those with excessively large particle sizes, as this can lead to dust pollution and blockage at the discharge outlet.
